Projects:
Artist David Brady began his "Art Reach" project in 1995 to provide online support for young artists and "at-risk"youth. Since Directing art exhibitions for Very Special Arts in 1990 Brady has continued to expand his projects to include serious and terminally ill children and teens and U.S. Veterans.

Over the past 15 years these projects have included creative student workshops, non-profit exhibitions, performances and individual creative coaching. In addition his online program, ArtReach, provides teachers and students with interviews, curriculum assistance and mentoring.

In March of 2004, Brady opened the Brady Art Studio in West Los Angele to provide creative and exhibition space for his community Art Reach projects.


Art Workshops for Veterans
The Art of Self-Expression
The workshop series provides Veterans a free studio and materials to explore and express their experiences. The 8 week program is currently running through April in West L.A. at the Brady Art Studio/Gallery.

Coach Art Workshops
Creative Exploration
As an art coach and teacher, David Brady provides free creative workshops for teens through Coach Art. This non-profit program provides art and other workshops for seriously ill youth in the Los Angeles area.

Nelson Mandela Collaboration
Supporting South African Charities
David Brady completed a series of collage works on paper as part of a collaboration with Nelson Mandela. The unique project provided a unique avenue to raise considerable funds for a range of South African Childrens' Charities.
   Brady created 5 original works by fusing his collage techniques with Mandela's drawings of his own hands to form "The Unity Series" which portrays the theme's of struggle, imprisonment, freedom, unity and the future.

Combinations
The Poet, the Painter and the Composer
Master poet Amde Hamilton and composer/ bassist Mark Sims collaborated with artist David Brady to create a unique performance piece at the UCLA/Hammer Musuem. This original collaboration has received grants and can be performed for a wide range of programs and institutions.

Student Workshop & Performance
The Dissapearance Project
An 8 week workshop with students from 4 South Central high schools addressing the issue of student drop out rates and solutions.
   The project concluded with performance featuring students poems and large scale projections of their art for over 800 area students. The program was funded through a grant from the L.A. Cultural Affairs Department.

Master Mentor Workshops
Art Poetry and Music for Teens
UCLA and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles sponsored the 8 week collage workshop and poetry project. The workshop concluded with a full exhibition and performance at the UCLA galleries. Art Coach David Brady and musician Mark Sims collaborated as mentors for the group of 20 Los Angeles area students.
